Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has launched three new gadgets today at an event in its home country. The three devices include the successor to Mi Mix 2 -- Mi Mix 2S, a gaming laptop -- Mi Gaming Laptop and a home assistant -- Mi AI Speaker mini.


Mi Mix 2S

The Mi Mix 2S comes with a ceramic four-sided curved design in an aluminium frame.The Mi Mix 2S doesn't feature an iPhone X-like notch but has a bigger chin to house the front camera, just as the Mi Mix 2.

One of the key highlights of the device is its dual rear camera setup that equips Sony IMX363 flagship sensor with 1.4μm pixels. It consists of a 12MP dual camera module of which one is a wide angle lens and other is a 12MP telephoto lens.

Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, this device also comes with Artificial Intelligence support. It also includes a built-in AI voice assistant covering six categories with almost hundred voice commands, according to Xiaomi.  Airtel launches new version of TV app to show live sport



Mi Mix 2S is available in 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB for RMB 3299, RMB 3599, and RMB 3999 respectively. It will be available starting April 3 at 10am from a range of retail channels including Mi.com and our Mi Home stores in China.




Mi Gaming Laptop

The Mi Gaming laptop has a minimalist design with no branding on the lid. The new Mi laptop's keyboard supports 16 million colors over four zones and anti-ghosting with 30-key rollover.

It houses five programmable keys that are located on the left side for quick access. It comes with large heat pipes, a 12V cooling fan and four fan outlets for effective heat dissipation.

The Mi Gaming Laptop is powered by Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor. It will be available in China in two variants -- the low-specced laptop packs in a GTX 1050 Ti, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD along with a 1TB HDD and costs CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 61,987), whereas, the other variant has NVDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and has 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD.


Mi AI Speaker mini

Lastly, the company also launched Mi AI Speaker, which is a mini version of the last year's launched home assistant. It will be available starting April 3, it costs RMB 169 and serves as a smart home assistant and performs functions such as listening to music and audio-books with simple voice commands.
